1099 Independent Caregiver/Home Care Aide

As a Home Care Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals in their homes. Your primary focus will be assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about caregiving and has the skills to support clients with various needs, including those with disabilities, dementia, or developmental challenges.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary needs.
• Help clients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Develop and follow individualized care plans that cater to the specific needs of each client.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Monitor clients’ health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Uphold resident rights and ensure dignity is maintained at all times.
• Support clients with dementia care strategies to promote cognitive engagement.

Qualifications

• Independent contractor
• Previous experience in caregiving or home care
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• CPR and first aid
• Familiarity with care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism and developmental disabilities.
• Strong understanding of resident rights and ethical caregiving practices.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
