About Us

Amistad Assisted Living and Memory Care Home is a licensed 6-bed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) specializing in memory care and dementia support. We pride ourselves on providing compassionate, individualized care in a warm, home-like environment. Our staffing ratio is 6 residents to 2 caregivers, ensuring dedicated attention and high-quality service.

Position Overview

We are seeking dependable, compassionate caregivers who are comfortable working in a small, intimate care home environment. Caregivers will assist residents with daily activities, personal care, and maintaining a clean and safe facility.

Available Shifts

• AM Shift: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• PM Shift: 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• *Applicants may request one or both shifts.*

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
• Lift and transfer residents safely as needed
• Change diapers and provide personal hygiene care
• Prepare and cook meals for residents according to facility menus
• Perform housekeeping tasks, including laundry, cleaning, and sanitizing
• Maintain general upkeep of the facility and outdoor property
• Assist residents with companionship, activities, and supervision
• Document care and follow facility policies and procedures

Requirements

• Experience working in an RCFE, memory care, or similar environment preferred
• Must be comfortable lifting, transferring, and providing hands-on care
• Ability to manage behaviors associated with dementia
• Must be reliable, professional, and compassionate
• Live Scan clearance and required state training for RCFE caregivers (can be completed after start date)
