Caregiver (Must Have a Client)

Overview

As a Caregiver, you’ll provide respectful, dependable support to a client in their home or community. Applicants must already have a client to serve in this role. You’ll help with daily routines, personal care, meals, and safe mobility while following the client’s care plan and protecting their privacy. Your impact: Consistent, attentive care helps clients maintain comfort, dignity, and independence in daily life.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, and personal transportation.
• Provide direct support and patient care; observe and monitor changes, communicate with the client, and follow care plans.
• Support medication administration only as authorized and within applicable requirements; respect resident rights and follow Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy practices.
• Use safe manual handling, patient transfer methods, and equipment such as a Hoyer lift when appropriate; respond to emergencies using first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training.
• Adapt care to clients’ needs, including senior care, geriatrics, hospice, Alzheimer’s, dementia, memory care, autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, and other disabilities.

Skills

• Required: Must have a client; demonstrate dependable caregiving, clear client communication, and safe assistance with personal care and mobility.
• Preferred: Experience in home care, home health, home and community care, assisted living, group homes, nursing homes, or long-term care.
• Relevant experience may include patient observation and monitoring, vital signs, nursing, medication administration, and care for individuals with autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, or developmental disabilities.
• First aid and CPR, patient transfer, Hoyer lift, heavy lifting, cleaning, and meal preparation experience are valued.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 70.0 per week
