Caregiver (Must Have Own Client)

Job Summary

As a Caregiver (Must Have Own Client), you’ll provide attentive, respectful care to your existing client in a home or community setting. You’ll support daily routines, follow care plans, observe changes in well-being, and communicate clearly with the client and appropriate care contacts. This role may involve personal care, meal preparation, household cleaning, mobility assistance, and transportation support, based on the client’s needs. Your impact: Consistent, person-centered support helps clients maintain comfort, dignity, and greater participation in daily life.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, meal preparation, cooking, and light cleaning
• Monitor and document patient condition, vital signs when assigned, and changes in behavior or health; follow care plans
• Support safe transfers and mobility using appropriate patient transfer methods, manual handling practices, and equipment such as a Hoyer lift when trained
• Assist with medication administration only as authorized and within applicable requirements; respect client privacy, HIPAA, and resident’s rights
• Provide companionship, direct support, and personal transportation assistance as needed

Skills

• Required: An existing client to serve; dependable client communication and a respectful, safety-focused approach to caregiving
• Relevant experience may include home care, home health, home and community care, senior care, geriatrics, assisted living, group homes, nursing homes, long-term care, or hospice
• Helpful experience includes Alzheimer’s, dementia, and memory care; supporting people with autism, disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders
• Knowledge of patient care, patient observation and monitoring, nursing, first aid and CPR; heavy lifting may be part of the role
• Familiarity with infection prevention, care plans, and safe assistance with daily activities is valued

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 70.0 per week
