Caregiver (Overnight)

Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private residences. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents through personalized care and support. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients, and fostering a positive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor vital signs
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
• Implement behavior management strategies for individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in living spaces
• Utilize Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids to assist residents with mobility challenges
• Document care provided using EMR systems accurately
• Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans

Experience

• Previous experience in caregiving, senior care, or long-term care settings is preferred
• Familiarity with memory care practices and Alzheimer's care is a plus
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in group home environments is beneficial
• Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency protocols is essential
• A background in social work or direct support roles will be considered an asset
• Valid driver's license may be required for positions involving transportation of clients
