Caregiver/personal Care Assistant - Flexible schedule

Overview

As a Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant, you’ll provide respectful, hands-on support that helps clients maintain comfort, safety, and independence at home or in a care setting. Flexible scheduling allows shifts to be arranged around availability and client needs. Your impact: Attentive personal care and observation help clients feel supported while giving families and care teams useful updates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and personal care.
• Prepare meals, cook, clean, and provide personal transportation assistance as assigned.
• Monitor clients’ well-being, observe changes, record vital signs when required, and communicate with clients and care teams.
• Follow care plans, protect privacy under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and uphold residents’ rights.
• Support medication administration when authorized; use safe transfer and manual-handling methods, including a Hoyer lift when trained.

Qualifications

• Caregiving, patient care, home care, home health, or home and community care experience is helpful; experience in assisted living, group homes, nursing homes, long-term care, hospice, senior care, or geriatrics is also valued.
• Relevant experience may include Alzheimer’s, dementia, or memory care; nursing; direct support; and support for people with autism, developmental or intellectual disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or other disabilities.
• Familiarity with patient observation and monitoring, patient transfer methods, heavy lifting, and first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is preferred.
• Clear client communication, reliability, respect for privacy, and a commitment to safe, compassionate care are essential.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.50 per hour
