Job Description

The Relief Caregiver position is an essential role in our Adult Foster Home, offering rewarding work and a sense of accomplishment. You will be responsible for assisting up to five Adult Foster Home residents with their daily care needs and managing the day-to-day operations of the home. This shift is 48 hours consecutive which involves sleeping in the home overnight.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including eating, personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
• Work independently to manage caregiving tasks and foster home operations.
• Answer phones, follow instructions, and perform delegated nursing tasks.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary needs.
• Administer medications safely and accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment through housekeeping and laundry.
• Implement activity programs and follow weekly menus.
• Monitor residents' health and promptly report any abnormal findings to the licensee and primary care provider.
• Accurately document care and activities using our electronic charting system (Synkwise).

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Possess good physical and mental health, sound judgment, and personal character to provide quality care for the elderly.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, in English.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (company-paid if not already obtained).
