Caregiver

Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, particularly with patients suffering from dementia, and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they care for. This role requires a nurturing attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Duties

• Provide personal care services including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Medication Reminders as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
• Observe and report changes in patients' conditions or behaviors to healthcare professionals.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
• Assist with mobility and lifting of patients as necessary, ensuring their safety at all times.
• Engage patients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment within the home or group home setting.
• Collaborate with family members and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements

• Previous experience in senior care or home community care is preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols and care plans.
• Ability to lift and assist patients safely while adhering to proper techniques.
• Strong observational skills to monitor patient health and report any concerns effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, families, and team members.
• A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
