Responsibilities

• Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, ensuring timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Support medication administration under supervision, following strict protocols to ensure patient safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or memory impairments, including Alzheimer’s and other cognitive disorders, utilizing memory care best practices.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to deliver comprehensive patient care in diverse settings such as long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, hospitals—including ICU and trauma centers—and outpatient clinics.
• Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care or wound management to prevent infection and promote healing.
• Assist with medical procedures such as phlebotomy or specimen collection when trained and authorized.
