  • Support clinical procedures such as catheter care, wound dressing changes, and basic medication administration under supervision.
  • Ensure patient safety by utilizing safe lifting practices with equipment like Hoyer lifts and adhering to infection control protocols including aseptic techniques.
  • Document patient observations thoroughly in medical records while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans for patients with complex needs such as dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or behavioral health conditions.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, especially those requiring memory care or residing in long-term or assisted living facilities.

Requirements

  • Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) recognized by the state licensing board.
