Duties

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
  • Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner
  • Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations
  • Provide compassionate care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, developmental disabilities, or behavioral health needs by implementing specialized memory and behavioral care techniques
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols in accordance with hospital standards and Level I Trauma Center guidelines
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in medical-surgical units, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or emergency departments to deliver consistent patient service
  • Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care or phlebotomy when trained and authorized to do so
