Responsibilities

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will provide non-medical and personal care services, including:

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assisting with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility using gait belts, walkers, wheelchairs, and other mobility equipment.
• Providing companionship and meaningful engagement.
• Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when appropriate.
• Performing light housekeeping and laundry.
• Providing medication reminders.
• Monitoring and reporting changes in a client's physical or emotional condition.
• Supporting clients living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, Parkinson's disease, and other age-related conditions.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and communicating effectively with the office regarding client care.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Previous experience working with seniors in a home care, assisted living, rehabilitation, hospital, or skilled nursing setting preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality and professionalism.
• Reliable transportation or the ability to travel to client homes throughout Queens.
• Ability to pass a background check and meet all employment requirements.
