Job Summary

Duties

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
• Monitor vital signs, record medical documentation accurately in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems, and report changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques to maintain patient safety.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments through tailored memory care strategies.
• Assist in clinical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy preparation, and basic life support during emergencies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care settings like Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers, ICU units, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or surgical wards.
• Support patients in behavioral health units or hospice care environments by offering compassionate companionship and emotional support while maintaining safety protocols.
