State Tested Nursing Assistant/CNA

Job Overview

Willoughby Post Acute is seeking compassionate and dedicated State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNA) to join our healthcare team. You will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients by delivering high-quality personal care and assisting with daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive environment.
• Assist with mobility and transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
• Maintain patient hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are followed.
• Support patients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care.

Qualifications

• Valid State Tested Nursing Assistant certification is required.
• Experience in long-term care, assisted living, or nursing home settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as PCC .
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support techniques.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in hospice care is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment are necessary.
