Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence.
• Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Support medical staff by preparing patients for examinations or procedures, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, including memory care activities.
• Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assist with patient transfers safely to prevent injury.
• Document patient information thoroughly in medical records and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Deliver compassionate support in diverse settings including critical care units like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers, pediatric units such as PICU or neonatal care, and behavioral health environments.
