Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other transfer devices.
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, accurately documenting all patient information within electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Support clinical procedures including catheter care, wound care, medication administration under supervision, and basic life support during emergencies.
• Observe patients closely for changes in condition or behavior, especially in specialized units such as memory care, dementia care, or behavioral health settings.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols utilizing aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Assist with patient transfers using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts and ensure safety during mobility activities.
• Provide compassionate support for individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring hospice or palliative care services.

Experience

• Prior experience working as a CNA in settings such as long-term care facilities, nursing homes, assisted living communities, hospitals (including emergency medicine or ICU), or home & community care environments.
