Responsibilities

  • Take and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Support medication administration under the supervision of nursing staff, ensuring proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, utilizing techniques like memory care strategies and aseptic techniques.
  • Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assist with safe manual handling practices to prevent injury during patient transfers.
  • Document patient observations meticulously in medical records, ensuring clarity and accuracy for ongoing treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and social workers to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program; active state license required.
