Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques.
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, while maintaining thorough medical documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Support patient care plans by providing medication reminders and assisting with basic medication administration under supervision.
• Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed by practicing aseptic techniques and adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each patient's needs, including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and behavioral health support.
• Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and safe manual handling practices while utilizing equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to ensure timely intervention in emergency medicine or critical care situations like ICU or trauma center environments.
