Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
  • Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration, accurately documenting findings in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper techniques and adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
  • Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, utilizing techniques like aseptic procedures and memory care strategies.
  • Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and perform catheter care with precision following aseptic techniques to prevent infection.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care, ICU, emergency medicine, or behavioral health settings to deliver comprehensive patient service.
  • Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards across all patient interactions.

Skills

  • Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals (Level I Trauma Center, Level II Trauma Center), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care settings.
