Duties

• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort
• Take and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision and attention to detail
• Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations
• Monitor patients’ conditions closely, reporting any changes or concerns promptly to nursing staff using clear and thorough medical documentation
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, utilizing techniques like memory care strategies and aseptic techniques when necessary
• Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely and effectively to assist with patient transfers while following safe lifting practices
• Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards through proper hand hygiene, sterile techniques, and adherence to facility protocols in both inpatient and outpatient settings

Skills

• Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or behavioral health needs
