Responsibilities

  • Administer medications accurately and safely according to established protocols and medical documentation standards.
  • Assist residents or patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
  • Monitor vital signs and observe for changes in health status, reporting any concerns promptly to nursing staff or supervisors.
  • Support residents with dementia or memory care needs by implementing specialized care plans tailored to individual requirements.
  • Ensure a safe environment by adhering to HIPAA regulations, safety protocols, and emergency procedures during overnight shifts.
  • Ensure facility is clean, sanitized, and ready for morning operations.

Requirements

  • Certification as a CRMA or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Certification as a CNA or PSS is required.
  • Experience caring for people with dementia is preferred.
  • Experience in residential care facility or assisted living settings is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology is essential.
  • Familiarity with dementia care practices is highly desirable.
  • Ability to administer medications accurately and safely.
