Overview

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
• Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates using Point Click Care
• Support clinical staff with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound dressing changes, and basic life support interventions
• Maintain a safe environment by using equipment like Hoyer lifts and adhering to aseptic techniques to prevent infection
• Document patient information accurately in medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support

Experience

• Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to patient care
• Experience with Point Click Care accurate documentation
• Background in geriatrics or long-term care environments like nursing homes or assisted living facilities
• Familiarity with caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is a plus
• Certification in basic life support (BLS) and phlebotomy skills are advantageous
• Proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced inpatient or outpatient settings while maintaining high standards of patient service
