Duties

• Deliver compassionate patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
• Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; document findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems).
• Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper handling and adherence to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols.
• Assist with specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, including memory care routines and behavioral health management.
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy (blood draws), catheter care, aseptic techniques during wound dressing or sterile procedures, and basic life support (BLS).
• Maintain detailed medical documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards and accurate recording of patient information in electronic health records systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks.
• Use manual handling techniques safely during patient transfers and heavy lifting to prevent injury; operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
