MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: That required for certification in the State of Texas as a Certified Nurse Aide.

Current CPR card required. Must be able to read, speak, and write English.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Charge Nurse and/or Assisted Living Manager provides nursing care to a designated group of elders, within the framework of BCS policies. Ensures compliance with all State and other regulatory requirements in providing optimal care for each elder.

ESSENTIALS OF JOB

1. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and evaluates the direct and indirect care of a designated group of elders, which includes the evaluation of the elder’s needs consideration of State regulations evaluation of the quality of services provided (constantly):

2. Teaches elder and family member as needed regarding care issues. (occasionally)

3. Develops collaborative relationship with charge nurse to provide comprehensive care. (frequently)

4. Functions as an advocate for the elders. (constantly)

5. Verbally communicates pertinent information to the Charge Nurse concerning an elder’s care. (constantly)

6. Must be able to commit the time necessary from an attendance and punctuality standpoint to accomplish the above specified Essentials of Job. (constantly)
