Responsibilities

• Follow established menus and assist in menu planning to ensure balanced, appealing options.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Handle food production tasks such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food handling with precision and care.
• Assist in food presentation and plating to deliver visually appealing dishes that meet fine dining standards.
• Support catering events and large-volume meal preparation while adhering to portion control and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of food temperatures, sanitation checks, and inventory levels to ensure compliance with health regulations.

Requirements

• Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide within assisted living or healthcare settings is highly preferred.
• Strong culinary skills including menu planning, food preparation, knife skills, and high-volume production experience.
• Knowledge of food safety management practices, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
• Experience with various cooking methods such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food industry standards for quality assurance.
