Personal Caregiver

Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
• Monitor patient health by checking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe and report any changes or concerns
• Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
• Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices to ensure safe transfers and mobility support
• Maintain clean and safe living environments by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces
• Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents meticulously to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulations

Qualifications

• Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care settings preferred
• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders
• Certifications in First Aid and CPR are highly desirable; ongoing training in patient monitoring and safety protocols is a plus
