Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Part Time Evening Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in Assisted Living. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in food preparation and ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation. Your expertise in food safety and kitchen operations will contribute to an exceptional dining experience for our residents.

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.

• Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
• Assist with menu planning, including special dietary needs as a dietary aide when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other food preparation tools.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service times.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Assisted Living Cook is required.
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene.
• Proficient knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
