Home Health Aide

Job Summary

As a Home Health Aide, you’ll provide practical, respectful care to clients in their homes and communities. You’ll support daily routines, observe changes in well-being, and communicate clearly with clients, families, and care teams. Your impact: attentive personal care and timely observations help clients maintain comfort, dignity, and independence.

Duties

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, mobility, and safe patient transfer methods; use a Hoyer lift when appropriate and trained.
• Observe and report changes in condition, take vital signs as assigned, and complete accurate medical documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Support medication administration and catheter care only as permitted by applicable rules and care plans.
• Prepare meals, cook, clean, and do laundry according to client needs.
• Provide compassionate support in home health, senior care, memory care, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, hospice, and end-of-life settings.

Requirements

• Patient care or caregiving experience; home care, home health, home and community care, or home health agency experience is valuable. Assisted living, nursing home, long-term care, geriatric, developmental disability, or disability care experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, home healthcare regulations, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), patient confidentiality, and medical records.
• First aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and basic life support (BLS) skills; relevant credentials must meet applicable requirements.
• Strong client communication and patient observation skills; able to handle heavy lifting when required and follow safe practices.

Pay: $14.00 - $14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 43.0 per week
