Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide essential support and care to individuals in various settings, including home environments, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and group homes. This role is vital in promoting independence, ensuring safety, and enhancing the quality of life for those receiving care. Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and independence.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, reporting concerns promptly.
• Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and confidentiality.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning personal spaces and common areas.
• Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to assist with mobility and prevent injury during transfers.
• Document patient observations, care activities, and progress accurately in compliance with healthcare standards.

Requirements

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional training in Alzheimer's care, dementia care, or hospice care is advantageous.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
