PRN Positions

SUMMARY: Provides quality nursing services to meet the needs of each resident.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. * Resident Care and Assessment: Conduct daily rounds on the assigned unit at the beginning and end of each shift to observe, examine, and interview residents. Verify information from the off-going shift, monitor regulatory compliance, and determine staff assignments. Physically assess new admissions and residents for changes in condition or as required.

* Care Delivery: Ensure the provision of resident care, including developing care assignments and monitoring task completion. Take and record vital signs, track food intake and output, administer medications, and use medical equipment as needed.

* Care Planning: Assist with care plans to promote the highest level of resident physical, social, and mental well-being. Communicate care plan details and goals, consult with the interdisciplinary team, and gather input from residents and families.

* Communication: Immediately inform residents, physicians, families, and other proper persons about incidents, injuries, changes in condition, room assignments, or transfers.

* Staff Training and Development: Assist with the orientation of new staff or temporary employees. Observe nursing personnel, identify learning needs, and maximize teaching opportunities.
