Job Summary

Our small family owned and operated facility is seeking individuals with a heart for geriatric care and a passion to help loved ones with Dementia. We are a 16 bed Alzheimer's and Dementia facility located in beautiful Summerset, SD. We are looking for Unlicensed Medication Aides, Certified Nurse Aides, and unlicensed care staff who can promote the individuality, independence, confidence, respect, and dignity our resident’s need and deserve. We are looking for team members that can assist with the daily organization of our residents’ medications, personal space, and overall therapeutic environment we have specifically created for those who suffer from Alzheimer's and Dementia.

Duties

• Follows facility’s policies and procedures to provide medications to residents.
• Provides treatment to residents per physician or nurse’s orders.
• Applies ointments, skin preparations, suppositories, eardrops, and eye drops.
• Examines resident’ skin and feet, provides appropriate care as needed and reports as necessary to licenses professionals.
• Records medications provided on appropriate medical records to ensure accurate record keeping. Completes drug incident reports when problems occur.
• Records Progress notes and changes in resident’s condition, skin problems noted, or other incidents.
