Personal Care Aide (San Jose)

Duties

• Assist in supervising an adult for 22 hours a month
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal consumption to ensure proper nutrition
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks
• Participate in care activities accurately and report any significant observations
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Follow all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures to ensure individual safety at all times

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with valid ID
• High school diploma / GED
• Negative TB Test (dated within the past 2 years)
• Prior experience working in home care setting with individuals that have developmental disabilities
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required or obtainable upon hire
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy
• Strong observational skills
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others
