Private Caregiver

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Private Caregiver to provide personalized, high-quality care to individuals in their homes or community settings. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or memory impairments such as dementia and Alzheimer's disease. As a Private Caregiver, you will be the primary support system for your clients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being through attentive caregiving and assistance with daily activities. This paid position emphasizes professionalism, empathy, and proactive care to promote independence and enhance quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
• Monitor and observe patients’ conditions closely, documenting vital signs, changes in health status, and behavioral patterns to inform care plans.
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality.
• Support clients with cognitive impairments by implementing memory care strategies, dementia care techniques, and Alzheimer’s care protocols.
• Maintain a safe environment by performing cleaning duties, ensuring proper infection control practices, and managing household safety hazards.
• Provide emotional support and companionship that fosters social interaction and mental stimulation for clients with autism or other neurodevelopmental disorders.

Experience

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable but not required.
