Assisted Living/Memory Care Caregiver

Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
• Implement behavior management techniques tailored to residents with dementia or developmental disabilities to promote calmness and cooperation.
• Engage residents through social activities, conversation, and recreational programs designed to stimulate cognitive function and foster social interaction.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and assisting with meal preparation.
• Support residents’ emotional needs by providing companionship, reassurance, and respectful communication at all times.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and family members to develop individualized care plans that meet each resident’s unique needs.
• Drive residents to appointments or outings as needed, ensuring safety and comfort during transportation.

Experience

• Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or personal care homes is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, and memory care strategies.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is advantageous.
