Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team for the morning shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This vital role involves providing personalized care and support to residents in assisted living, nursing homes, or community settings. As a Caregiver, you will play a key part in enhancing residents’ quality of life by assisting with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and fostering a warm, respectful environment. Your energy and commitment will help create a positive, nurturing atmosphere where seniors and individuals with disabilities feel valued and cared for every day.

Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
• Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols
• Provide companionship and engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being
• Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with transfers
• Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas to uphold hygiene standards
• Follow care plans accurately and document care provided using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
• Respond promptly to residents’ needs, including emergency situations or behavioral management challenges
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed, ensuring nutritional requirements are met
• Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care, using specialized techniques

Requirements

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and geriatrics is essential
