Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant

Job Summary

Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
• Support medication administration following proper protocols and documentation procedures
• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote social engagement and mental well-being
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met
• Use manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to transfer residents with care
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping duties and infection control practices
• Document care activities accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems or other documentation tools
• Support residents with behavioral management strategies for conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease
• Drive residents when necessary for appointments or community outings while adhering to safety protocols

Skills

• Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments
