Position Summary

The Caregiver provides non-medical home care services that assist clients with daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence, and emotional well-being. Caregivers work closely with clients, families, and the Anchor Down Home Care team to ensure exceptional care and companionship.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including

• Bathing
• Dressing
• Grooming
• Toileting
• Mobility assistance
• Transfers

Provide companionship and emotional support.

Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when needed.

Perform light housekeeping duties, including

• Laundry
• Vacuuming
• Dusting
• Dishwashing
• Changing bed linens
• Assist with medication reminders (non-medical).
• Provide transportation to appointments, errands, grocery shopping, and social activities.
• Monitor and report changes in a client's physical or emotional condition.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and family members.
• Follow individualized care plans and company policies.
• Maintain client confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous caregiving, home care, assisted living, or nursing home experience preferred but not required.
• CNA certification is a plus but not required.
• Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Current auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a background check.
