Job Overview

We are seeking a local first and second, weekend compassionate and dedicated Caregivers with dementia, alzheimer and Parkinson’s caring experience to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by offering personalized care in their homes or community settings. This position requires a positive, nurturing attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with individuals with diverse needs, including those with disabilities and memory care requirements.

Duties

• Provide direct support and personal care to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist clients with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met.
• Help clients with mobility and lifting as necessary to promote independence and safety.
• Engage clients in social activities and companionship to enhance their emotional well-being.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and social workers to develop care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Support clients with memory care strategies and techniques to improve cognitive function.

Experience

• Previous experience in caregiving, nursing, or related fields is required; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with home community care practices is beneficial.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in long-term care settings is a plus.
• Knowledge of meal preparation techniques that accommodate dietary restrictions is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients are essential.
