Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Caregiver/Med Tech to provide high-quality support to our residents. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, medical terminology, and caregiving, with a focus on enhancing the well-being and safety of individuals with diverse healthcare needs. Duties

  • Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
  • Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols, including medication administration and tube feeding.
  • Monitor vital signs, document medical information, and update electronic health records (EHR systems) in compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
  • Provide specialized care for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory care needs, ensuring a safe and comforting environment.
  • Support residents during medical procedures such as catheter care, first aid, CPR, and basic life support when necessary.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to develop individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of patient care activities and medical records using EMR systems like Epic or Cerner.
  • Ensure safe manual handling practices during transfers or heavy lifting tasks while adhering to safety standards.
  • Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations while managing medical records.
  • Assist with hospice or palliative care activities, providing emotional support and comfort to residents and their families.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly desirable.
