Caregiver / Medication Technician — Hampton Manor of Burton

Hampton Manor of Burton is seeking compassionate, dependable Caregivers and Medication Technicians to join our assisted living and memory care team. Help us create a welcoming community where residents feel comfortable, respected, and cared for every day.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other activities of daily living.
• Support safe transfers, walking, repositioning, and mobility according to resident care plans.
• For medication technician assignments, assist with or administer medications only as permitted by applicable requirements, completed training, and facility policy.
• Accurately document care provided, medication assistance, and relevant observations.
• Observe and promptly report changes in residents’ condition, behavior, or needs to the appropriate supervisor.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and incontinence care while maintaining residents’ dignity.
• Encourage participation in activities and social interaction.
• Respond promptly to resident call systems and requests for assistance.
• Follow infection prevention procedures and help maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Work closely with team members to follow each resident’s personalized care plan.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to working with older adults.
• Dependable attendance and strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, care plans, and safety procedures.
• Ability to perform essential job duties, including assisting with mobility and transfers, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Previous assisted living, memory care, or caregiving experience preferred.
• Medication-related experience and documented training preferred for medication technician applicants; required training and competency must be completed before performing medication duties.
