About the role

Our Family Friend is a locally owned, non medical home care agency serving Washtenaw, Jackson, Livingston, Lenawee, Wayne, and Hillsdale counties from offices in Chelsea and Jackson. We hire caregivers to support seniors and adults with disabilities in their own homes and in senior living communities.

We post every open client shift publicly. Each opening on our Caregivers Needed page shows a reference number, the town, the days, and the times, so you choose the clients and schedule that fit your life before you apply. Openings right now range from one hour visits a couple of days a week to a full 30 to 40 hour schedule with a single client.

What you will do

Companionship and conversation, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, personal care such as bathing and dressing, safe mobility and transfers, errands and transportation, and clear communication with our office and the client’s family. Every client has a written care plan, and you will always know what is expected before your first shift.

What we provide

Paid training, including hands on skills like safe transfers and gait belt use, so no certification is required. Flexible scheduling built around the openings you choose. What we look for

Reliability above everything. You show up when you say you will and treat a client’s home like your own. Patience, warmth, and good judgment. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background check. Experience as a CNA, HHA, PCA, or family caregiver is welcome but not required.

Chelsea, Jackson, Ann Arbor, Dexter, Saline, Manchester, Stockbridge, Grass Lake, Pinckney, Hillsdale, and Romulus. Current openings by town are on the website.
