Caregiver/Personal Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
• Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, administering medications as prescribed, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption to ensure proper nutrition
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or neurodevelopmental disorders through personalized care plans and engaging activities
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces
• Document care activities accurately in accordance with care plans and regulatory standards; ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times
• Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and social engagement

Experience

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to observe patients closely for signs of health changes or distress; experience with patient monitoring is essential
