Caregiver – Short Shifts

Pay

$18–$19/hour Schedule: 2–3 hour shifts available Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required Location: Grand Rapids and surrounding areas

What You’ll Do

Provide caring, respectful support to clients in their homes, including companionship, personal care, light housekeeping, meal assistance, medication reminders, transportation/errands when needed, and helping clients remain safe and comfortable at home.

Requirements

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and be able to pass a background check. Caregiving experience is preferred, but we are also looking for the right heart, dependability, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor client health by checking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; report any concerns promptly
• Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans
• Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s by implementing specialized memory care techniques and ensuring their safety
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks aligned with dietary needs; ensure cleanliness of the dining area and kitchen
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols
