Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team in the reopening of Twin Cedars. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including clinics, hospitals, and senior care facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of patient care practices, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including geriatrics and children. The Nursing Assistant will assist with daily living activities, monitor patient health, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient conditions to nursing staff.
• Provide basic life support when necessary and assist in emergency situations.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques.
• Support patients in rehabilitation exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Document patient care activities accurately in accordance with facility protocols.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to develop individualized care plans for patients.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
• Assist in transporting patients within the facility as needed.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy and basic medical terminology is beneficial.
• Experience in geriatrics, hospice care, or working with children is a plus.
• Familiarity with clinic settings and inpatient care practices is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in providing quality patient care.
