Duties

• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using safe lifting practices and equipment like Hoyer lifts.
• Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration, accurately documenting findings in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper procedures are followed according to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other memory impairments, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support.
• Help with clinical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy, aseptic technique, and infection control practices essential for safe patient care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care environments like ICU, emergency medicine, or trauma centers to deliver timely patient service and support complex medical needs.
• Assist with patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques while adhering to safe lifting practices.
