Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using safe lifting practices and equipment like Hoyer lifts.
• Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring timely communication of any abnormalities.
• Support medication administration under supervision, following strict aseptic techniques and HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Document patient care activities thoroughly in electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) with attention to medical terminology and accurate medical documentation.
• Provide specialized care for patients with complex needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory care requirements, or behavioral health conditions.
• Assist with catheter care, wound dressing changes, and infection control procedures to maintain a sterile environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in various settings including medical-surgical units, ICU, emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice care, and post-acute environments.
