Rotating Weekends Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to provide essential care and support to patients in various healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients while adhering to safety and health regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Duties

• Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing patients.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding patients as needed.
• Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Administer catheter care and assist with toileting needs.
• Offer companionship and support to patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
• Launder patient clothing and linens as required.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Support individuals with disabilities in their daily activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caregiving or nursing assistance is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of hospice care practices is a plus.
• Familiarity with vital signs monitoring techniques.
• Understanding of dementia care principles is beneficial.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while providing compassionate care.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to pass any required background checks or screenings related to employment.
• A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
