Duties

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using safe handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts.
• Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; document findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
• Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, including memory care strategies.
• Help with patient transfers, positioning, and manual handling tasks while following aseptic techniques to prevent infection.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in settings like long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU and trauma centers), outpatient clinics, or home care environments.
• Maintain patient safety by adhering to infection control protocols, safe lifting practices, and emergency procedures such as CPR or basic life support (BLS).

Requirements

• Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the state of practice.
• Experience working with diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring hospice or behavioral health care.
