Job Summary

Duties

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using safe lifting practices and equipment like Hoyer lifts.
• Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
• Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support.
• Perform basic clinical tasks such as phlebotomy (blood draws), catheter care, and aseptic techniques during procedures in medical-surgical or outpatient settings.
• Assist with transfers and manual handling of patients using appropriate equipment to ensure safety for both patients and staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols for infectious disease care and practicing proper hand hygiene.
