Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and feeding to promote independence and comfort.
• Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; document findings accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Support patients with medication administration under supervision, ensuring adherence to prescribed treatments while maintaining safety protocols like aseptic technique.
• Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support.
• Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe manual handling practices during patient transfers or repositioning.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams in acute care settings like ICU or trauma centers, contributing to patient assessments and emergency response efforts.
• Maintain detailed medical documentation compliant with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in all patient records.
• Assist with complex procedures such as catheter care or phlebotomy when trained and authorized to do so.
